When visiting Chile as a foreigner, for most countries like the United States it is not required to apply for a visa before coming to the country. However upon arrival you will receive a receipt also known as the Tourist Card or PDI (Policía de Investigaciones de Chile) receipt. You need to hold onto this receipt as you will be required to show this receipt on your departure when you go through customs at the airport.

When arriving to Chile you will have 90 days to stay in the country.
